As you've probably heard by now James Neal was suspended 2 games for his dirty hit on Derek Dorsett.
I was hoping that Neal got a suspension as that kind of hit is completely unacceptable, avoidable and dangerous as hell. With the NHL's inconsistancy in dishing out punishments even Yoda couldn't foresee what Campbell would do today.
I'm glad he got something but I've always been of the opinion that the player that commits said act should at a minimum sit out as long as the player whom he injured. Of course the grey area in that theory is what if Dorsett walked away from that hit? -- it still doesn't change the fact it was dirty and that Neal shouldn't be suspended regardless.
Check out this pic I grabbed from HF taking a shot at the NHL's lack of consistency in dishing out punishments for dirty plays:

Bravo!!
Get well soon Double D!!
