I think this camp is a great sign that the NHL is not sitting on their hands and reacting but instead are being proactive and looking for ways to improve the game.
Personally I like the idea of going to a 3 on 3 OT after 4 on 4 before going to a shootout. Perhaps if the Jackets, who were dead last in the league with only 2 shootout wins last season, had any kind of success in the shootout my stance would change!
One area off the ice I think the NHL must look at are the camera angles. I'd love to see a game televised from North to South (like they do in video games) as opposed to East to West.
The Jackets will be once again be participating in the Traverse City Prospect Tournament this preseason. The tourney kicks off on September 11th with the Jackets facing the Rangers in the first game at 9:30 a.m.
