NHL Players' Association extends CBA through 2012 season
"The current cap of $56.8 million is expected to rise to about $59 million. The official number will be announced before the free-agent signing period begins on July 1."
Will this give us some wiggle room to make a move ?? Do we have a cap expert that reads the mighty LTL, someone who could provide us with some inside on what this means to the Jackets. I know the CBJ aims to remain at the revenue sharing agreement cap, what would our spending limit be to remain below that cap ??
Furthermore is anyone here shocked that the cap (which was supposed to decline, according to stories at the start of the season), somehow not only equaled but surpassed this years cap when it became evident that the NHL's favorite franchises really needed a cap increase ??
