Just a few items - my version of LTL's epic This and That:
I didn't know if you caught this piece from Puck-Rakers, but, here's the latest from Duufy Mac (any chance he can crawl back under that rock from which he came?) along with some of my views on his unintelligible rants:

- Primary Point: DM's an idiot! Nothing new, there...
- Ripping Mike Priest. His massive ego wouldn't factor into it, would it? I'm considering changing my nickname from Duufy Mac to Bitterman..
- Negative comments towards Arniel and/or Howson. For him, that really wasn't half bad, was it?
- Not moving the 4th pick. Unless he's including their moving down (i.e. getting the Thrash's 8th and 24th(?) picks) in the draft (i.e. Connolly), I tend to agree. No way they make a trade (the garbage rumors of trading for Kaberle, Spezza or - gasp! - Iginla) - ownership's too cheap (see thwarted Erhoff deal, when SJ wanted a draft choice, instead of Chimmer), and Howson covets draft picks, like valued commodities (past performance is no indication of future results, and investors can...oops! That's the Financial Planning caveat...apologies).
- Whether Arniel was ever a candidate. This, coming from the guy who was in bed with the devil, AKA Balsille? How'd that turn out, Bettmann's good friend? It must suck being you...
Look, the man took a jab at Mr. Mac, two weeks after he'd passed...nuff said.
In other news...
Didn't know if you saw the epic picture of a certain Flyer D-Man who we in CBJ-Nation have learned to despise, but, let's face it, would LOVE to have on our team:
Props to my good friend in Iowa, a true, non-bandwagon-jumping Hawks fan, for sharing this, with me.
Did any of you see JR's breakdown on TV, after the Hawks won the cup, and his mentioning of the 12-year old kid, who he felt he failed to deliver the Cup, to? Wow, this shows how big a deal this (winning the ultimate prize) is. Sadly, unless new ownership - you know, non-tightwad, non-podunk, non-backwoods (see The Hoep, Game Ops 'guru' Kim K, and the money squeezers at the top) who make those 'executive' decisions (more proof that a grad or undergrad degree, not being a drinking buddy of a certain former exec - see above - should be a requirement - comes in, this is something, to quote Chris Jerico (shows my level of class, huh?) would say, that we'll "NEVER...EHHHVER (EVER)" get to see...
Best text I've gotten in a long time, was received by our legendary 7th Man, AKA MTM (Matt The Mask):

For those of you who don't know, I'll de-cypher thru that, for you: Patrick Kane, last August, was "allegedly" accused of assaulting a cab driver near his home town of Buffalo. Kane, and his cousin, pleaded guilty to noncriminal disorderly conduct charges.
So, if you ever question MTM's passion for and knowledge of the sport, not to mention an epic sense of humor, I rest-a my case-a...
I'll be posting a recent article of mine, shortly. While, as you know, I respect LTL's knowledge of the greatest game on ice, more than anyone, my being an optimist (as far as you know) believes this will work out, for the best, in the long run.
