It will be interesting to see what happens with Boll this offseason. I can see that one going in a lot of directions.

He does a decent job at filling his energy/enforcer role and I'm not as down on him as some. This is a league of mostly middle weights now and he is 4th in the league in fighting majors. I would like to see him agitate a bit more out there. I can't get on him for lack of offense though -- not with his minutes and role and not with guys like Pahlsson, Clark and Modin making close or over 3 mil producing what they produce.

I think the decision with Boll may have as much to do with if Sestito is ready or not. If Howson wanted to move Boll I don't think he'd have much of a problem.

It will be interesting.

Speaking of Modin -- one very important detail I forgot to mention was that he has a NTC so he'd have to waive it before Howson could move him.

LTL: I do believe Mike Priest wants to win, he just doesn't know how to win - see Kevin McClatchy, former Pirates owner, in baseball.

What may have worked so well - the emphasis on the bottom line - pinch those pennies - with Wothington Industries, does not translate to owning a pro sports franchise.

- Juice/Commie - Dougy Mac's not a GM, so, there's no one THAT stupid to be hoodwinked with. We're stuck with those two - no market, whatsover. But, as they say, a man can dream, right?

Great post, as always, LTL!

Remember, the NHL Draft is now just 153 days away...

As for those 'in play', come trade time:

- Raffi - gone, but, great point about a re-sign.

- Modin - as I shared with MTM - Mark my words: Hitch is gonna pimp for Freddie Mo to be re-signed - I mean, he can't let that 'man crush' end, can he?

- Jurcina - nope, they'll hang onto him. Look, if they still have designs on making the playoffs, as stupid as that sounds (ownership still thinks there's a chance; Hitch's ego's too big to not take his medicine and give the young guys - including those down at the 'Cuse - some invaluable experience).

- Boll - now, THIS one, I think, is in play. Let's face it: Dude's stock has plummeted, especially with the re-emergence of DD. No need for a lightweight (pugilist) with little offensive game, right? - Mase1

I have an idea... Again.

One of my friends has tickets right behind the bench.

We should make a sign that says "We Want Phaneuf" and give it to him.

Sad as I am to say it, I don't think Raffi will be with us next year. I'd love to keep him, he'd love to stay, but he even said it himself, "With these multi-point games, I'm just increasing my trade value." - Lanson
